The objectives of The Trust:

KALAI HUMAN RESOURCES DEVELOPMENT TRUST

1. To do social and charitable services among the people for the Development of the society.

2. To help the poor and needy students in their education

3. To help the needy people for getting loans for the prupose of house construction, to start business and industries too.

4. To arrange free legal aid to the poor people.

5. To help the poor wreck less backward class people and physically handicapped.

6. To help the rural poor women in their marriage.

7. To make employment opportunities to the poor people.

8. To help and support helpless widows , orphans and such other deserving destitute persons and institutions.

9. To rehabilitate drug addicts and alcoholics to a useful place in the society by educating them with a regard to the disadvantage of alcoholic consumption.

10.To establish libraries , study centres, tution centres etc.

11.To form male and female self help groups and save the money in bank and give loans.

12.To start consumer shops for state or central Govt.Organisation.

13.To start Crèches and Balwadies for infants and young children.

14.To establish Schools , Colleges, Polytechnic Institutions, Universities with the objective of imparting education to the society in general irrespective of Caste, Creed and Sex.

15.To engage in Social activities aimed at improving the living condition and economic standard of the poor and general welfare of the poor particulary of agricultural workers, youth , women and rural poor and the unskilled workers.

16.To conduct AIDS awareness programmes in rural and backward areas.

17.To run homes for the mentally retarded handicapped and home for aged and destitute and home for Orphans.

18.To establish and run educational institutions, workshops, training institutes, computer centres, health or educational centres to achieve the objectives of the Trust.

19.To establish , maintain , run and administer hospitals , nursing homes, medical relief centres, institute for Siddha medicine and research centre dispensaries and such other institutions as may be found necessary and feasible to provide medical relief and treatment to the poor and needy public.

20.To help poor students to pay their school fees and to buy their books. To provide essential things to students who are studying Medicine, Engineering and other technical courses, having required qualification. To help them in developing their cultural and sports activities.

21.To train , educate and empower the womenfolk.

22.To start vocational skill training institutes to train women and handicapped in job oriented technical trades.

23.To provide food , shelter, clothing , medical care and education for the poor and downtrodden people.

24.To promote the awareness of Polio and general health by conducting Medical Camps , Blood Donation Camps and Seminars.

25.To afford relief to people who are in distress due to natural calamities.

26.To publish or assist in the publication of good and useful books, periodicals and journals.

27.To provide information about legal rights of the citizens.

28.To take all lawfull steps to protect social rights and Environmental conservation.

29.To organize and carryon with the economical activities among the needy people.

30.To eradicate child labour and to run schools for the welfare of the children who are employed.

31.To give awareness to the women members on education, health, human rights , family planning , child care , hygienic principles , sanitation etc.

32.To make them aware with the manisfestation of environment degradation viz exhaustion and pollution and also to organize them for its protection (Environment being a Socio Economic Problem)

33. To make all lawfull steps to protect the human rights of needy citizens irrespective of Age, Language, Sex, Caste, Creed or Religion.

34.To organize female handicrafts workers into Self Help Groups and to give them the required skill training in handicraft and marketing to make them self supporting.

35.To start Co-operative stores for handicrafts workers to enable them to get the raw materials in the Co-operative Store and to get the wages for the products they submit.

36.To start handicrafts industries for the welfare of the women members under the provision of small scale industries or cottage industries.

37.To give women members proper training in savings and credit program for socio economic development.

38.To impart skill training in various kinds of trades or small business.

39.To mobilize funds for the welfare activities for poor and also from the Government, Private and Foreign funding agencies and also from the Embassies and Consulates of Foreign Countries.

40.To form Self Help Groups in rural areas and strengthen the Self Help Groups to make them benefitted through NABARD (National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development), other banks and Central and State Governments Scheme.

41.The Organisation can raise funds by way of Loans/ Borrowings/ Grants from Government/ Non Government Organisations/ Foreign Donars / Banks / Financial Institutions and other agencies in pursuance of its aims and objectives.

42.To purchase moveable and immoveable property by way of bank loans for various uses of the Trust.

43. To act as catalyst agency between the rural community and the government and generate awareness among the rural community about various Government development programme with a view to ensuring that the target groups enjoy the full benefits of the development programme.

44.To establish , maintain the fishing landing centres jetty marketing centres for the fisher folk of the villages and neighbours villages.

45.To provide , organsie , promote and maintain and render charitable and benevolent services and all ancillary services to all fisher folk old homeless of civil disturbance , riots, famine, earth quake , Tsunami , flood, fire resistance, epidemic and other natural calamities irrespective of nationality, community, caste, creed, colour, religion, and sex of fishermen community & others.

46.To receive funds from Union organisation / agencies for the welfare of fisher folk within the country / abroad.
